Make the Bible the first and last thing you read everyday.

Most of us reach for our mobile phones first thing in the morning and read a book before we go to sleep. Making the Bible your first and last read everyday will help instill a dependence on God’s Word.

Make a once a week date with your Bible.

Aside from reading it everyday, choose a special day and choose a special place you love, whether it’s a quiet coffee shop, a scenic park or an out-of-the-way restaurant. You will bring nothing else except your Bible (yes, not even your gadgets!) and maybe pen and paper. Try to keep that “date” every week.

Store an audio Bible on your iPod or music player.

Listen to it on your daily commute to avoid getting annoyed with the hassles of commuting. Listen to it while driving so the traffic will seem less irritating. Listen to it while running so as to inspire you more.

Write a Bible verse a day on a notecard

Place it in your work or study area and put it in a space that you always glance at so as to remind yourself of God’s special word for you that day.

Post a daily Bible verse on your social networks

Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr – whatever social network you’re using, post a Bible verse a day to inspire and encourage your friends and followers.

Keep a journal for your daily devotion/Bible study

Write down your thoughts on how God spoke to you through particular verses. It will also help to go back to this journal every once in a while to see how God has been working in your life.

Include reading and studying the Bible in one year in your resolutions/plans for this new year

It takes commitment, discipline and love to fulfill this particular resolution. There are a lot of offline and online tools and reading plans that you can use to help you along. This is the best way to get to know God more and to find out His plan for your life.

Join or form a Bible study group with your family or friends

Most of us probably have cell groups within the church, but it would also be good to form a Bible study group with people you’re really close to and comfortable with. It will help deepen your relationships with each other and most of all, with the Author and Perfector of our faith.

One of the ways I make the bible a bigger part of my life is to get my own life verse and memorize it because it rings true to my life.

Another good way is to memorize bible verses. memorizing bible versions help us with our walk because it would provide the necessary support we need on dire times with our walk. Also, memorizing bible verses can help out our friends, our sisters and brothers through God since we could present His word as comfort, encouragement and rebuke (if need be) on their own lives.

Whenever I read my Bible in the morning, I accompany it with a glass of water and I read under the fresh breeze of air in our backyard and it is so refreshing to read on a cool and peaceful environment, I also write memory verses on a daily basis in a small notepad..
